Message of Critical Importance The annual meeting of RVMHOAT is scheduled for Febryary 21, 2008 at the La Feria American Legion and the scheduled time is 09:00 for the MEMBERSHIP meeting preceded by the Board Meeting at 08:00 This is critical since there has been a definite display of non interest for over a year now and, this season, NOBODY attended meetings except for the Board and Gene Flynn and at the January meeting we had the presence of two members in additon to the above. Newletter mailing which is very expensive resulted in the return of nearly 100 letters for varied and sundry reasons. Our current membership consists of mostly charter members who are not obligated to pay ANY dues but some have made donations for which we are appreciiative but the future of this organization is in jeopardy and I don't mean the TV show. There needs to be support by attendance, by donations, by new membership. The demise of this associatin will mean a loss of voice with the legislaature. This a is a voice that is needed for the potential implementatin of further protection for manufactured home residents AND those living in RV's (Winter Texans).. Election of officers takes place at the February 21th meeting and the entire board has indicated a decision NOT to run for re-election but this President has indicated a willingness to stay on until a replacement is chosen and in some position thereafter providing that am allowed to live that long. This message is of the most serious sort and should not be ignored IF you want RVMHOAT to continue to represent you in matters of deep concern. E. Robert Bossé President |
